GoToMeeting
The webcast classes will be conducted using GoToMeeting. You will need speakers and a microphone. You can use your telephone but it might be a long distance call depending on where you live. I use a USB headset with mike that works very well. Laptop mikes don't work because they create feedback and other distracting noises. This program allows me to present my monitor to the students and we can communicate verbally with one another. I can also make you the presenter so I can see your monitor. You have the option of letting me control your mouse so I can demo commands, etc. It's very neat. The good news is the service is free for you. I will send you an e-mail invitation to join the meeting with a code and you just click on the link and add the code. Soon you will be seeing my monitor on your computer.
Fees
There will be a $350.00 USD fee for Fundamentals classes and $250.00 USD fee for Advanced class. You will need to buy the courseware (book) about $75.00 USD. I can get a group rate for us that will translate into $55.00 on the courseware. Therefore the total is $405.00 USD for fundamentals and $305.00 USD for Advanced. I will need to get paid in advance which you can do thru Paypal or by check within the continental USA. There is a link to Paypal on my website. Scholarships and or discounts are available for the trully needy. E-mail me re your situation info@Revit-Training.com.
Free Download of Revit
You will be able to download most of the AutoDesk Programs including Revit and 3d Studio Max for at least 30 days free which will cover this class. As an instructor, I can supply you with a download link. Last year the students got a 14-month license. But they may have changed it to 30 days. In any case, this takes the better part of a day to download and execute. The class will take less than 30 days to complete so you will be able to do your homework and practice while the class is goig at no cost. Send me an e-mail requesting the download link and I will send it to you.
Course Features
I am planning to limit the number of students to 8 in order to enhance the learning experience for each student. To further enhance the learning process I plan to schedule the class for two three-hour sessions per week. This will allow people to digest material and do homework. I will follow the general guidelines for Autodesk Training Centers (ATC) for Revit essentials:
1. The class will be 21 hours of instruction.
2. Upon request you will receive a certificate from Revit-Training.com signed by an Autodesk Certified Instructor upon successful completion of the class.
3. We will use approved Autodesk courseware.

Revit-Training.com WebCast Class (see "WebCast Classes" below)
Wednesday 9:00 AM-11:00 AM PST
July 29th
Fee $20.00 USD
Status: Completed
Don't waste a lot of time like I did banging your head against the wall. Revit users will be introduced to the new 2010 Interface and Massing features. As you may know, the interface has changed significantly. This results in a situation where one knows what one wants to do with the program but can't easily find the commands, tools, bars, etc. As advertised this new "Ribbon" interface is more intuitive, driven by content. In addition, Revit has changed and improved the massing tools in terms of locations and features. One can now modify at the sub-object level in terms of face, segment and vertex. After a thorough tour of the interface, we will spend the remainder of the time working with the new massing tools including "In-Place Mass", Family massing tools and "Model In-Place Mass".
See above for starting date and times. The class will run for 1 session (2 hours total) on Wednesday. Reservation for the class can be made by payment thru Paypal or by sending a U.S. check within the continental USA to:
