  • WebCast Classes
    GoToMeeting
The webcast classes will be conducted using GoToMeeting. You will need speakers and a microphone. You can use your telephone but it might be a long distance call depending on where you live. I use a USB headset with mike that works very well. Laptop mikes don't work because they create feedback and other distracting noises. This program allows me to present my monitor to the students and we can communicate verbally with one another. I can also make you the presenter so I can see your monitor. You have the option of letting me control your mouse so I can demo commands, etc. It's very neat. The good news is the service is free for you. I will send you an e-mail invitation to join the meeting with a code and you just click on the link and add the code. Soon you will be seeing my monitor on your computer.

    Recordings
All classes are recorded, which allows students who miss a class or need to go over the material aditional times to view the class. This helps students who have work or other time constraints to take the classes. The instructor will provide limited free support to those who cannot make it to a class.

"Although I was not able to participate in all the live online sessions because of my work schedule, I really appreciated receiving the recordings and the additional online help tailored to my schedule. This allowed me to keep up with the class and build my first Revit model!" Heidi Fichtenbaum

    Fees
See the class schedule above for individual class registration fees. You will need to buy the courseware (book) for the Fundamentals class about $85.00 USD. I get a group rate for us that will translate into about $67.00 on the courseware which you will purchase separately from the provider. Registration for the class is in advance. This can done thru Paypal or by check with in the continental USA. There is a link to Paypal on my website Use "info@revit-training.com" as the payee. Scholarships and or discounts are available for the trully needy. E-mail me re your situation info@Revit-Training.com.

    Free Download of Revit
Autodesk is now offering a free 3 year license for the student version. In addition, they have special instructions for Mac users. As an instructor, I can supply you with a download link. This takes the better part of a day to download and execute. Once you have registered, I will send it to you the download link.

    Course Features
I am planning to limit the number of students to 8 in order to enhance the learning experience for each student. To further enhance the learning process I plan to schedule the class for two three-hour sessions per week. This allows time for students to digest material and do homework. I follow the general guidelines for Autodesk Training Centers (ATC) for Revit essentials:

    1. The Fundamrentals class is 21 hours of instruction the advanced class is 15 hours.
    2. Upon request you will receive a certificate from Revit-Training.com signed by an Autodesk Certified Instructor upon successful completion of the class.
    3. We will use approved Autodesk courseware.
